National Science Foundation boosts IBM/Google university cloud
Grants of nearly five million dollars will enable fourteen universities to participate in the IBM/Google Cloud Computing University Initiative. The initiative will provide the computing infrastructure for leading-edge research projects aimed at a better understanding of our planet, our bodies, and the World Wide Web.

Service Science, Management and Engineering (SSME) is a new academic discipline designed to produce students with the combined business and technology skills needed to enter today's workforce ready to contribute immediately to their countries' economic and innovation agendas.
Free Web and email translation at University of Texas
The University of Texas at El Paso has partnered with IBM on the ¡TradúceloAhora! grant program to provide its student and their parents with access to automatic machine translation software for web sites (English to Spanish) and emails (English to Spanish and vice versa).
